The Yawara Stick

The Yawara stick is a half inch around stick and about six inches long. It should be long enough that when held in your hand it protrudes at least a half inch on either side of your hand. On one end is a set of key rings and keys are attached. The stick makes for an excellent key chain but can be devastating when used by someone with proper training.

Yawara Seminar

This dynamic workshop is open to everyone including non-martial artists and is recommended for anyone looking for a weekend self-defense workshop. The yawara stick is simply a six inch acrylic rod keychain that can provide you with extra options when defending against deadly force. It is a great tool for third party intervention when you are trying to help someone else being attacked or just trying to create separation.

The seminar is just $30 and yawara sticks are available for $10 at the seminar (it is not necessary to purchase yawara sticks as loners will be available). Sorry, but due to space restrictions this workshop is limited to the first forty registered people. Space can only be reserved with full payment.

Participants must be 14 years old or older and must complete and sign a waiver with parents completing the waiver if under 19 years of age.

This is a realistic workshop dealing with pain compliance, some discomfort, minor bruising and abrasions can be expected with no long term adverse affects.

When: Sunday, June 1, 2008 - from 10:00AM - 6:00PM

Where: Mount Saint Vincent University

Cost: $30 (option: $10 for Yawara stick)

Bring: Money or food for lunch, liquid.
